The Inspiration: The Emperor Concerto The posture and spirit of this piece are deeply inspired by his Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major ("Emperor"). Unlike the ethereal serenity of Mozart, this concerto is heroic, majestic, and completely unyielding. When you look at his expression, he is not resting. He is gathering the immense energy right before striking those massive, defiant opening chords. It is the ultimate rebellion against fate.
The Alchemy of Wood
We are in the studio exploring the absolute limits of wood combinations for him:
-
The Coat: We are leaning heavily toward African Ebony. Once the natural hard-wax oil is applied, it turns into a profound, pitch-black abyss, perfectly holding the heavy gravity of his music.
-
The Iconic Red Scarf: Peeking out from the dark collar will be a flash of natural red wood (no dyes, as always)—capturing his classic, fiery rebellion.
-
The Hair & Face: For his wild hair, we are testing light Black Walnut, fragrant Camphor, and Canadian White Maple. For his face, we are deciding between the warm touch of Boxwood or Beech.
Of course, the final presentation will depend entirely on the natural chemistry between these woods after oiling. We let the materials make the final call.
We are pushing our micro-batch production to its limits and aiming to launch the First Edition drop in May.
Stay tuned. The storm is coming.
